Mandatory dog ​​owner course in the canton of Zurich

Dog owner courses in the canton of Zurich are mandatory for all dogs.

​Puppy Training is not compulsory anymore, nevertheless:

Puppies learn and develop quickly. The time between the 8th and 16th week of life is very formative and especially important. We allow puppies to play together under supervision, communicate with each other and discover new situations in a protected environment.  

Course content:

• Building up a bond with its human

• Getting used to the environment

• Socialization with humans and other dogs

• Stress-free and joyful leashing and unleashing

• Practicing bite inhibition

• The first steps on the leash

• Establishing sit & down & stay

• Development of the recall

• Occupation possibilities with the dog

• Getting used to grooming and health measures

Number of participants: max. 4 dog-human teams per class

Duration: 4 lessons à 50 min (3 group lessons + 1 private lesson)

Bring along:

1. Vaccination card at the first lesson

2. Your passport or ID

3. AMICUS of your dog

4. Collar and a leash (please NO flexi leash and NO harness)

5. Favorite toy (no ball!).

At 17 weeks your dog reaches the age of a young dog. In this turbulent transition period to adulthood (until approx.18 months), it is our task to continue to respond calmly, serenely and firmly to our little fur friends and to accompany you on their journey through life to become a trusting partner.

Young Dog Course:

For every dog.

Course content:

• Leash leadership and encounters on the lease 

• Recall signal with and without distraction

• calm exercises, impulse control

• Taboos and limits

• City training

• Non verbal communication: training of the own body language and of the dog

• Appropriate and meaningful occupation for the dog

Number of participants: Max. 6 dog-human teams

Duration: 6 lessons à 50 min

Bring along:

1. Vaccination card, if you have not done the puppy course with us

2. Your passport or ID

3. AMICUS of your dog

4. Collar and a leash (please NO flexi leash and NO harness)

5. Favorite toy (no ball!)
